and everything in between for brass quintet (2018)
and everything in between is a reflection on some of the forces that were influential on my early development as a musician and composer, including the brass quintet medium as well as composers Luigi Nono, Iannis Xenakis, Christian Wolff, John Cage, Alvin Lucier, and Pauline Oliveros. This work, which mixes traditional and nontraditional notation, unfolds in three sections that feature changing ensemble dynamics and textures.
