Assemblage for solo performer with found objects and live electronics (2007)

This composition allows a performer to explore the sonic character of three everyday, found objects by utilizing them in ways that were not intended by the objects’ designers and ultimately fusing them into a single object thereby destroying their original identity.  During performance, microphones are placed near the object(s) to capture sonic subtleties that arise from this process; these streams of sound are fragmented and delayed by a computer to mirror the fragmentation of the found objects’ utilitarian identities.
