Breaking that awkward silence - an elevator installation for solo performer (2008)

Breaking that awkward silence is an installation for a solo performer located in an elevator.  This individual, during performance, responds to external stimuli created by elevator occupants or the elevator itself using their voice, body and a sound producing technological object.  The performer, however, never overtly engages with fellow occupants, instead keeping to him/herself to create an unusual elevator experience that subtly highlights typical sounds and behaviors found in this unique space.
